Loratadine 10mg tablets are a non-drowsy antihistamine treatment used to relieve the symptoms of hay fever and allergies. They help reduce sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, runny nose, coughing and skin irritation caused by allergens such as pollen, pet hair, dust mites and mould. Loratadine provides effective all-day allergy relief and is suitable for adults and children over 2 years old who weigh more than 30kg.
Loratadine is one of the most commonly used antihistamines in the UK and is ideal for managing seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and everyday allergy symptoms.
Loratadine contains the active ingredient loratadine, which belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. When you experience an allergic reaction, your body releases histamine, a chemical responsible for symptoms such as sneezing, itching and watery eyes.
Loratadine works by blocking the effects of histamine, helping to relieve allergy symptoms quickly and effectively. It is considered a non-drowsy antihistamine for most people, making it suitable for daytime use.
